For the three or four people that actually read what I post on this website, I apologize for the lack of posts on randyroper.com the last couple of weeks, but lately life has been crazy.
I’m just a few days away from the birth of my 2nd child and I’m honestly scared to death. I mean, I was shook when my first child was born two years ago, but something about adding another child to my already complicated life has my mind in a frenzy. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a blessing to add a lil man to the family, and I pray the Lord shows me the way, because I don’t really know why he would trust to put another life into my hands. Lords knows I’m just a simple man.
Buy hey, I’ll just continue to take it one day at a time until life starts making sense to me (hopefully that type of wisdom comes sooner than later).
Lately, I haven’t been in the mood to write, but I love writing and it’s therapeutic to me, so I have to figure out a way to over come this case of writer’s block. I guess I’ll just force myself to put words to the page and see what comes out. Even as I’m writing this, I’m feeling a lot less anxiety (maybe I should try writing more often, huh?).
There’s been a lot going on in the world. From the upcoming presidential elections to the disastrous flooding in South Carolina to the retirement of University of South Carooina football coach Steve Spurrier, and I’ve been wanting to throw my opinions out to the worldwide web, I just haven’t. But let this be the first step in getting my thoughts together.
So, here it is… My first posts in weeks. Special thanks to the hand full of you that will take the time to actually read this blog about nothing. You guys that have been riding with me for years now, I appreciate every last one of you.
I’ll get it in gears, folks. I promise that.
